Privacy Policy

How Convixy handles your data and keeps your files private

At Convixy, we built this platform with one goal in mind — to make document conversion simple, fast, and completely safe. We understand that the files you upload may contain sensitive personal or professional information, and we take that responsibility seriously. This Privacy Policy explains clearly and honestly what happens to your data from the moment you upload a file to the moment your converted document is ready to download.

Who We Are

Convixy is a free online toolkit that allows users to convert, compress, merge, and split PDF files, run network diagnostics, analyse text, and use developer utilities — all without requiring any software installation or account registration. We are the data controller responsible for the information described in this policy. If you have any questions about how your data is handled, you can contact us at support@convixy.com.

What Information We Collect

We do not ask you to create an account, provide your name, or share any personal details to use Convixy. The only data that passes through our system is the file you choose to upload for processing. Beyond that, our servers may log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, approximate geographic region, and pages visited — this is routine web server logging used solely to monitor performance and prevent abuse. We do not link this technical data to any individual identity, and it is not shared with third parties.

How Your Files Are Handled

When you upload a file to Convixy, it is transmitted to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection using TLS (Transport Layer Security) — the same encryption standard used by banks and financial institutions. Once your file reaches our server, it is placed in a secure, non-public directory that cannot be accessed directly from the internet. The file is then processed automatically by our conversion system without any human involvement. No member of our team opens, reads, or interacts with your file at any point.

How Long We Store Your Files

We do not keep your files. Once your converted or compressed document has been generated and made available for download, both the original uploaded file and the processed output are automatically deleted from our servers. This deletion happens within a short window after processing completes. We do not archive, back up, or retain copies of user files for any purpose. If you close the page before downloading, the file is still deleted on schedule — so make sure to download your result before leaving.

How We Use Your Files

Your uploaded files are used for one purpose only: to carry out the specific task you requested, such as converting a Word document to PDF or reducing the size of a PDF file. We do not analyse the contents of your files, extract text from them for our own use, train any machine learning models on them, or use them in any way beyond delivering the service you came for.

Client-Side Tools and Privacy

Many tools on Convixy — including the password generator, hash generator, UUID generator, Base64 encoder, and other security and developer utilities — process your input entirely within your browser. This means your data is never transmitted to our servers at all. These tools run using native browser APIs (such as the Web Crypto API) and operate with complete local privacy.

Cookies and Analytics

Convixy does not use first-party tracking or behavioural advertising cookies. Our website may set a basic session cookie (PHPSESSID), which is a standard technical requirement of PHP-based websites. This cookie contains no personal information, is never used to track you across other websites, and expires when you close your browser. We do not use any third-party analytics service to monitor visitor behaviour.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Convixy may display advertisements served by Google AdSense to support the cost of running a free service. Google, as a third-party advertising provider, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. These cookies allow Google and its partners to show you relevant advertisements. No file data or personally identifiable information from Convixy is ever shared with Google or any other advertising network.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or by visiting aboutads.info to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating networks. You can also disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that opting out does not remove ads from the page — it means the ads you see will not be tailored to your interests.

Third-Party Services

To deliver our service, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party technologies, including server infrastructure and document processing libraries. These services are used strictly to operate the platform and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your files or any information associated with your visit to any third party under any circumstances.

Children's Privacy

Convixy is intended for use by individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the service in a way that may have submitted personal information, please contact us at support@convixy.com and we will ensure any associated data is removed promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law — including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you, the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. Because we do not collect personal data tied to your identity and because uploaded files are deleted automatically after processing, there is typically no stored data to retrieve or erase. If you have a specific concern or wish to exercise a privacy right, please contact us at support@convixy.com and we will respond as quickly as possible.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or to comply with legal requirements. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the date shown below. We encourage you to check back occasionally if you use Convixy regularly. Continued use of the platform after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
